Ghostbusters HQ is about to get another face lift (don't worry, I don't think that the background will change again). But now that I have Photoshop 5.0 and Macromedia Director, this page is about to start kicking some total (explitive deleted).

Not much new news- been aweful slow in the world of Ghostbusters news this past week. But I have been hearing a rumor that Columbia Tri-Star is working insane hours to get the Ghostbusters DVD ready before Christmas. We'll see right?

Once again, a reminder- check out the contest. It's not worth passing up!

According to Marla Charendoff, Tara Charendoff was in the latest Sabrina The Teenage Witch movie. (I didn't see it, now I wish I would have sufferred through it just to see Tara.

Fox Family must have found a few more episodes that they hadn't aired, as they aired a few new eps this week... oh wait, I was dreaming. ;)

I'm still looking into the credibility on this one, but Volkswagon has apparently started "negotiations" in the licensing of the new Ghostbusters film. I'm not sure what this scoop means, but it came from a good source. Does this mean that a new Beetle will appear in the new film? Who knows.

One of the most frequently asked questions is "Is this Ghostbusters 3 for real or are you just jerking my chain?" The answer, why do you think I would make this up? I have no reason, it's a well-known fact that the third project is in the works. And in the words of Will Smith, "I'd appreciate it if you get off my back." 'nuff said.

Also, if you haven't, I encourage you to check out the contest. This is it, this is definatly it- your chance to win BOTH the original Ghostbusters soundtrack AND the Ghostbusters II soundtrack. Nice eh?

I'll be archiving the news sometime tonight or tomorrow so that this page loads faster again. Sorry folks.

My apologies to Marla Charendoff, I haven't added her link in some time. But here it is folks: check out her Windows 95 desktop theme.

Guess what? George Fenton is in for the third Ghostbusters project. Corona was reporting it earlier, but I've gotten word that a contract is in the works and he's already starting primary theme selection. Cool eh?

Oh yeah, check out the new menu bar, tell me what you think.

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES

I've been having some difficulties with my internet connection at home (no, it's not the iMac, it's the phone lines) and will be returning shortly. At this time, I can only get online from work- :( The Slime Times will ship as soon as this issue is resolved also, sorry about that. I plan to be back up and running tomorrow.

Happy, Happy Birthday Ms. Possessed. That's right, celebrating a birthday today Ms. Sigourney Weaver. We'll send you a present if you agree to the new film(s) okay? ;)

New news from the Ghostbusters 3 front, it appears as if we are drawing closer to seeing a Psycho-ish teaser hit theaters this Christmas, as a good friend of mine at Sony Pictures Promotions says that there has been a request put into the art department for "a new 90's take on a familiar 80's logo."

On another note, did everyone see it? Jeff Goldblum (who's name has also floated around for the new Ghostbusters flick, though I highly doubt these rumors are true) was in the latest Apple Computer commercial promoting the iMac.

A new format for the menu bar on GBHQ will be uploaded tonight- as well as a special announcement reguarding the Slime Times Issue #2 which will be shipped tonight also. Updates are getting mroe frequent, no? ;)

Argh, I apologize for the lack of updates everyone. I know that it's discouraging to come to a website which is normally updated daily and find that it hasn't been updated since September 14th! Yikes! I promise you all that the surprises are still on their way. Progress on the Online Store and Real Ghostbusters area are coming along nicely. Also, I plan to have a Shockwave version of the Test Track ready and willin' to go by the end of the month. Anhoo, onto the gnus.

As reported in the GBHQ Official Ghostbusters Fan Club E-Zine The Slime Times, Ghostbusters III begins production in the first quarter of 1999. And yes, it looks like Bill Murray is in. Ms. Weaver is out, and Will Smith is still one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood (wink, wink). We should start hearing official word any day now as to a ballpark release date.

No, you're not tripping acid... Fox Family Channel has started airing episodes for the second go-round of Real Ghostbusters. The biggest question I've heard is, "Why?" Well folks, let me tell you: Fox Family Channel is paying Sony Pictures by the episode, and they need to "order more episodes" in order to air them.

The Ghostbusters HQ contest has been extended- to December 31st. I've received requests from the viewers stating that I just didn't give enough time to make a custom figure- as the Jamaican bobsled team says... "No problem." Remember, this is your chance to win the Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II soundtracks- don't miss out!

Also again, no- you're not tripping acid after that last news brief. If you stopped by the Sony Factory Outlet store in Castle Rock, Colorado last Monday- I did have Ghostbusters on every $#@! T.V. in the store including the Criteron Laserdisc of GB1, episodes of Real Ghostbusters, Extreme Ghostbusters episodes, and yes- Ghostbusters II was playing too. To top it off, Ghostbusters HQ was the featured website on WebTV Monday. Talk about fun, I think we'll do that once a month ;)

Now, I would just like to make a statement about the certain Blue Bomber that decided it would be fun to copy Paul Rudoff's website and claim it to be his own: if you haven't noticed, the online Ghostbusters community has become a strong family. We all work very hard on our webpages and make them unique and new in some shape or form from all the other pages. It's curious as to why you decided to put time and effot into duplicating an already well-known website and claiming it as your territory, when you could have spent the time creating your own page that people would actually visit. They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery- but they also say unauthorized duplication is illegal. 'Nuff Said.
