I'm heading out for the holidays Ghostheads, and I'll be back on the 25th with more info and the whole nine yards. Until then- here's something to get you thinking while we're all in the holiday "spirit."
Brought to you by Tony "The Terror Dog":
This is only Marginally related to GB but, I heard that a California Co., Reelfx or
Reeleffects was suing Universal over the the Effect used in their USF "Twister"
show (which as you know, took over the spot that housed the GB Spooktacular) .
It seems that Universal had entered into an agreement to have them produce the
tornado effect for the show, and then after 4 demos of the technology, backed out
and basically duplicated the same effect for their show. Hmmm, maybe they'll get their just desserts for thievery and dumping the GB's.

I'd just like to comment on the above quote direct from the e-mail to NetSolo. If Bill wins an Oscar, it would be one of the happiest moments in his life, the Oscar is the ultimate acheivement in a filmaker's career- it WOULD NOT go to his head and make him feel that he must do incredible performances in every film after. take a look at Sly Stallone who won in 1977 for Rocky. He didn't exactly follow-up with Titanic sized films. There is not a doubt in my mind that Bill wouldn't suit up to return to his comedic roots, if not for one last time.
Many of you have written asking why The Internet Movie Database took Ghostbusters 3 off of their list of films. Why? A spokeman has told me that the information was incorrect and out of date (they listed the film as being released in 1998, unless we ALL missed it, that never happened).
Yes, GBHQ was down on Saturday- "It's not my fault." As you can see, I update very early in the morning in order to provide all visitors with the latest info, and I must have gotten shafted when I uploaded the last main page update.
In case you missed, there was some good new info in yesterday's update on the GB DVD as well as the Super Bowl rumor.
Also, make sure that you check out the news archives athe the bottom of this page for the latest news and information before you e-mail me asking questions.

The Super Bowl meets the Ghostbusters? During the big Super Bowl Sunday marketing hype, many rumors fly as to who's going to advertise their latest product during the commercials. I am here to tell you that Ghostbusters 3 WILL NOT appear in the commercials during the Super Bowl. Like I've been saying, it's like a sewing circle. Columbia Tri-Star would have had to buy the air time A LONG TIME AGO! Too late, I'm as disappointed as you are but rumors just plain suck.
Okay, when I asked for tips, I was asking what you'd like to see on Ghostbusters Headquarters for the New Year. Not what you wanted to see in Ghostbusters 3, or what you wanted me to write in the script for Ghostbusters 3 as one very confused reader wrote to me. Let's clear something up once again. I'm not Dan Aykroyd, as cool as that would be dude, I'm not Dan Aykroyd and have no power over the script... or do I... (evil laugh)... Just Kiddin' Ghostheads.
Check out Bill Murray in Scrooged all this month (at least up until Christmas) on Showtime. One of the most classic X-Mas flicks in my own opinion.
More DVD news, check this out ghostheads this comes from DOCTORFILM:
Just an update on the DVD release of Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II. The DVD of Ghostbusters has been upped to March 13th by Columbia and the DVD of Part II is coming in April. This info was announced in a HUGE title announcement from Columbia/Tristar Home Video. Originally the DVD of PT 1 was going to be released in June, but they decided to up the date due to demand for the title. No word was given on special features (or features period for that matter) but it will DEFINITELY be in Widescreen and will more than likely be a Special Edition (similar to the DVDs of Gattaca and Godzilla). No word on pricing either, but Columbia Discs are generally priced at $24.99 in the stores, although many of their new releases (IE: Godzilla, Hudson Hawk, and The Big Chill) are selling for $19.99 in stores.
This info came from the DVD DISH site who is a very reliable source for DVD info (they generally don't post things that are rumors). That website is at WWW.lightviews.com/dvdnews.htm . Check it out. Looks like we're finally going to get that good quality version of the GB films that we've been waiting on.Sorry for the length of the page. I'll archive tomorrow. Promise.

YOU LOVE ME, YOU REALLY LOVE ME! ;) Yesterday was one of the best days that Ghostbusters HQ has ever seen. 385 hits in 12 hours, thank you Ghostheads!
Ghostbusters 3 to utilize new Sony digital film cameras? A technical source of mine very close to the project (more to come in the next couple days about source anonymity) has stated that the same digital cameras that are to be used in filming the second and third installments of the Star Wars prequels will most likely be utilized on the new Ghostbusters sequel. Interesting, thanks for the important safety tip Egon.
Don't forget that the deadline for the Garrett custom figure contest is coming up within the next couple weeks. If you haven't entered, you're missing out!
The 80's are back with a strong vengance this holiday season... It's true, has anyone noticed that those Furbys look like Gizmo from Gremlins? Perfect time to bring out GB3... wink... wink... ;)
