Don't touch that
dial!
Is EGB still airing
in some areas? Well, repeats probably, but Coolman sends in this:
When I woke up this morning (Dec. 20.1999) I turn on my T.V.
and was just surfing when I came upon the Extreme Ghostbusters!
It was on the WB at 7:30. The only problem is I don't know if
the rest of the nation gets it. you see it was on the WB Rockford.
Anyone else still seeing EGB on their local stations? E-mail me and we'll start a list of
those stations still airing the show! UPDATE: A list has been
started here

In Memoriam
As
many of you know, I'm a huge fan of the Bond series films- it
is with the deepest regret to report the death of everyone's
favorite gaget guru, Q- Desmond Llewelyn in a car crash
last evening. He appeared in all but one Bond film and almost
ironically passed the torch to John Cleese in the latest Bond
film The World is Not Enough (though it was rumored he'd return
for Bond 20). Llewelyn was 85 years of age.
Neil
Vitale, everyone's favorite Forgotten Ghostbuster points out
that there must be a scarcity in Ghostbusters news if other webmasters
are interviewing GB webmasters. such is the case as "fishy"
interviews Chad of GB Central. And heck, a few of the graphics
in the interview are from the HQ so I feel compelled to link
to it.
Okay, so their dogs...
Okay,
so the Broncos suck this year... not my fault- stop blaiming
me :)

Here's
a well-written letter in reguards to Sony's dismissal of the
Ghostbusters 3 project. You know he makes a good point, and also-
wasn't Sony RUSHING to get GB3 on the table? What the hell happened?

Hey-
so this has been one stellar week, good news is that all my applications
are in and I'm officially in the running for a position at film
school at USC. Bad news is that GBHQ hasn't been updated in a
week! Guess what, I'm back and now with a heavy burden off the
shoulders so let's get to it. This week expect some music of
the layer 3 nature, some great new fan art, an update on the
GB3 situation, the long-awaited video game section, and- you
guessed it- the first PBEM game! Wow!
I've
been nursing a cold/laryngitis the past few days so GBHQ has
been neglected a little, but I've got a lot to say and a little
time to do it in so let's get it on:
The GB's on TV's
GREED
GBHQ correspondant
Matt Rude with the story:
Tonight (December 2) on the Fox game show "Greed"
they had a question that mentioned Ghostbusters. The question
was, "Which one of these movies DIDN'T have a sequel?"
one of the choices was Ghostbusters. Just thought I'd pass that
along.
Custom Action Figure
in Tomart's Guide
Numerous reports
of this one, Teen Ghostbuster sums it up best:
I saw in Tomart's Action Figures Digest
(January 2000), under the "Best
Design" contest. They had a picture of a Ghostbuster. It
is RAY STANTZ from GB1! He has his proton pack and jump suit,
plus a cigarette and covered in marshmallow fluff. It looked
great! Now, if only they made all the Ghostbusters, the Ecto-1,
and made these action figures (action figure, Ray Stantz) a reality.
Ghostbusters in Mad's
"Cracked"
Teen Ghostbuster
seems to have been shopping the magazine isle, here's our main
man with the scoop:
Also, I saw in the recent issue of CRACKED
Magazine (a magazine like MAD) with the Jetsons vs. FUTURAMA
on the cover, they had an article called "Seperated At Birth?"
with such seperated at birth pictures (drawn, of course.) as
Clark Kent and Superman, It and Hamburger Helper, and Micheal
Jackson (70s/80s) and Micheal Jackson (90s). Well, the one with
Ghostbusters is as follows:
Thanks
to GBHQ's main man overseas Ewoud, Ivan Reitman talks to local
magazine What DVD? for the December 1999 issue. Note the question
at the very end of the article reguarding Sony and Ghostbusters
3? Ah ha, a glimmer of hope! Click more to view the image here
