Columns, we're gonna give everyone a piece of our minds
Hey, it's my birthday today everyone, and well... just thought that I'd throw that in. But check out new columns in the Editorials section from Matt and Brandon. Neil and I seem to have all the problems on the server worked out (namely, I can log in now and update!) So more frequent updates are here again! Ghostbusters HQ would like to welcome new column writer Matt Rude and wish him the best of luck with his future columns here on the HQ! - Troy
Ghostbusters HQ wins award
Not just any one of those cheesy web awards, Ghostbusters HQ is pleased to announce that it has been announced as the winner of the Golden Web Award which has been recogninzed as the "Who's Who" of sorts of online websites. It is an honor to receive this award and as the webmaster of Ghostbusters HQ accept it with thanks to all of you, the GBHQ visitors, thank you so much for almost 4 years of sticking with this website through thick and thin. Not to mention whoever nominated the HQ, thanks whoever you are!

FanLetter from FanBoy
Q. Hey,FaNBoY here ,I am truly shocked, saddened and disheartened to hear the news regarding the status of Ghostbusters3. But I am also happy that your site is back up,and It looks great. I have a few questions however. What will sites like you and the other Ghostbusters sites do,now that there isn'nt any news to report about GB3? Are Ghostbusters sites an endangered spices now? I certinly hope not.My second question is regarding the toys.I haven't heard anything since last week about the possibility of Ghostbusters figures from McFarlene toys, have you heard anything?A. ,FaNBoY, the same thing that we do everynight, try to take over the world. No really (and I will go into more depth on this in my next column) I think that efforts will now need to be doubled by Ghostbusters webmasters in order to keep the film in the public conciousnes. Since GB3 news will be next to non-existant so it seems for a good deal of time, there are PLENTY of other aspects of the film to keep websites like Ghostbusters HQ open. Endangered? Of course not, they'll always be a part of pop culture. Now there's something you don't see everyday.
As for the toys, I've spoken with a rep at McFarlane and they have assured me and want me to tell my visitors that indeed the litigation work is going well, Mr. McFarlane is remaining optimistic on the whole situation. If indeed McFarlane wins the suit (and most likely they will) we should expect to hear more news on more Aykroyd film based movies, including Ghostbusters sometime in the near future. Thanks for your letter! - Troy
