Real Ghostbusters legend passes away
Yes, www.ghostbustershq.com is back up, you're not dreaming. However you'll wish you were dreaming when I regretfully report that Mr. Lorenzo Music, the voice of Dr. Peter Venkman in early episodes of Real Ghostbusters as well as the voice talent for Garfield and Gummi Bears characters has passed away. Mark Evanier reports that he has passed away from cancer. Truely a very sad day among Ghostbusters fans around the world. Thanks to Shannon Muir for the tip. - Troy

Aykroyd says Belushi would "not approve of his career choices"
UPI has this story, mostly in relation to the release of Aykroyd's latest film "Curse of the Jade Scorpion." But it's interesting these little tidbits:

Dan Aykroyd says he doesn't think his fellow "Blues Brother" John Belushi would approve of the direction his career has taken in recent years -- especially the nice-guy roles he's played in movies like "Driving Miss Daisy" and "My Girl." "He'd be really critical of it," the "Saturday Night Live" alum told UPI. "He'd say 'Why are you doing this? Why are you doing that?' He was very domineering." "I think he would look askance at some of my other choices (and ask) 'What are you doing those weepster movies for? Get a gun in your hand,'" Aykroyd continued. Aykroyd has appeared in nearly 40 movies since the early 1970s, but he is perhaps best-known for his stint as an original "SNL" writer and cast member -- having created many of its most popular and enduring characters, including the Coneheads patriarch Beldar and Elwood Blues, one-half of the sunglass-wearing singing duo "The Blues Brothers," characters Aykroyd and Belushi took to the big screen in 1980. They also co-starred in the comedies "1941" (1979) and "Neighbors" (1981.) - Troy
