GB producer earns his star
Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II producer Bernie Brillstein earned his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on 19th. The Associated Press printed this:Few outside Hollywood recognized the inductee into the Walk of Fame, but plenty of well-known faces were on the sidelines to witness producer Bernie Brillstein's big moment in front of the cameras.
Actors Rob Lowe, Martin Short, and Jon Lovitz were there. So were ``Politically Incorrect'' host Bill Maher and ``Saturday Night Live'' producer Lorne Michaels. ``They say everyone has 15 minutes of fame, but this is ridiculous,'' Brillstein said Wednesday at the dedication of his star on Hollywood Boulevard.
Brillstein managed the careers of John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd and Gilda Radner. As the founding partner of Brillstein-Grey Entertainment, he produced such films as ``Ghostbusters,'' ``Dragnet,'' ``The Cable Guy'' and the TV shows ``Alf'' and ``It's Garry Shandling's Show.'' - Troy
Promising news for Ghostbusters 3?
Cinescape is mentioning that a recent interview with Harold Ramis has revealed that Ghostbusters 3 is alive and well and actually looks as if steam for the project might be building. Apparently Dan Aykroyd has written another treatment of the script and is working to bring in a new "fresh, young cast of big Hollywood names" and accomidating the script for cameo appearances from the OGBs (bummer). Also according to the article, Ramis says that Bill Murray now is showing more interest in the script and making the film than before.Credited to Popcorn, I've been unable to bring up their website for the exact article, if anyone has luck send a copy to me and we'll post it right here! - Troy

Ghostbusters 3 on the Radio
Mike sends in this little tidbit:I was listening to the Mark and Brian Radio Show out here in Portland, OR today and heard an interesting rumor for Ghostbusters 3. On the program, they were reading off a list of movies that were are currently in development. The list came from Cinescape (although whether it was from the internet or not, I don't know) and it was a surprise when they listed Ghostbusters 3 as in development. I'm not sure what to make of this, since other movies on this list included; Indiana Jones 4, Austin Powers 3, Batman 5 and X-Men 2. I know that these four movies are definately going to be made, so it lends the Cinescape list some credibility, but on the other hand, they also mentioned Superman Lives and Basic Instinct 2 as being in development as well, which as far as I know, these two movies have been halted because of casting problems which takes away some of the lists' credibility as well. So make of it what you will, does it mean that there is new interest in Ghostbusters 3 or is it just false hope? I'd sure love to think that there's new interest. - Troy
Has anyone else noticed the marathon showings of GB?
Okay, here's my opinion on this whole HBO showing Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 back to back and then Encore showing both films back to back: 80s movies look to be coming back into "conciousness" note Josie and the Pussycats and (shudder) Crocodile Dundee In LA. Is anyone else thinking that maybe Sony is putting it's big toe in the water to see what kind of response they get to the films being shown more frequently on cable and satellite access stations? I would definitely recommend hopping over to HBO's website and letting them know that you enjoy the "GB Marathons." Just a quick friendly email will suffice. Trust me, I think it would be to our benefit- Troy

Frequent updates coming... promise
Film Production 180 is still continuing to take up a good chunk of my time, sorry Ghostheads. My enthusiasm is still there, the time just isn't. I'm working on some cool stuff including just uploading ALL the Behind the Ecto goods and some cool Flash stuff for everyone to bask at. There's also a new contest on the horizon with some seriously cool prizes. Stay tuned! - Troy

April...
Neil and I thought that we'd just see if anyone noticed if we threw a little April Fools joke on the site, and to my surprise, MANY people noticed! In fact, posts on the Message Boards (especially CaptainN's) really has insipired me again to get this site back up on it's feet. To be honest with all of you, I've lost all my enthusiasm, I honestly didn't think that people looked at the site anymore since it's been upstaged by GB Central and Proton Charging. It's just difficult. It seems like I'm just going through the motions and it's just not fun anymore. But I feel refreshed and ready to start some serious updates again.- Troy
Dan Aykroyd to star in HBO's "The Spider"
The Hollywood Reporter reports:Dan Aykroyd and Theresa Russell are toplining HBO's ``The Spider'' for director Scott Ziehl. The project is shooting in Los Angeles. Devon Gummersall (the WB Network's ``Roswell'') and Amelia Heinle (``The Limey'') also star in the project, the third installment of ``Creature Features,'' a series of five films inspired by Samuel Z. Arkoff's 1950s sci-fi monster classics. ``Spider'' is about a young man (Gummersall) whose dream of being a superhero goes awry. He ends up with a Jekyll and Hyde personality. He has a crush on his neighbor (Heinle), who winds up the target of the creature's hunger. Aykroyd plays a detective trailing the creature.
Aykroyd recently wrapped a role in ``The Devil and Daniel Webster'' opposite Alec Baldwin, who directed. He next stars in Disney's ``Pearl Harbor'' and Woody Allen's ``The Curse of the Jade Scorpion.'' - Troy
"We are watching you..."
I'm told by several sources, including some very enthusiastic fans that it is within our best interests to start posting on the McFarlane Toys website and support others that want to see the company make Ghostbusters film based toys since creator Todd McFarlane and his associates frequently read posts on the site's BB service. Head over to http://www.spawn.com/board/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi and express your support! - Troy

Extreme Ghostbusters video games on the way!
Sorry Ghostheads, we're approaching finals here for the second trimester of school and I haven't had much of a chance to stop and take a breather let alone update the site. But I have heard some great news! Protoncharging.com is reporting that Extreme Ghostbusters video games are coming to the Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo GameCube and the PC to name a few. Oddly enough is that there is no mention of PS2 on the site (and it's a Sony licensed product, go figure) but I'm sure there will be more announcements in the future. Hope over to the Charging for the full skinny. - Troy
