A young man, haunted by the spirit of his deceased
and abusive father, intent on revenge. . .

An old hero growing frustrated with his change
in his lifestyle. . .

A wisecracking and familiar hero dealing with
the transition from bachelor to father. . .

Two new recruits with alternative motives. . .

And a manipulative demigod in human form
who will stop at nothing to see the human race
obliterated. . .

Twelve years later, now who are we going to call?

Filmmaker Troy Benjamin tries his hand at authoring a novel taking place twelve years following the events of the hit film Ghostbusters II and seventeen years following the original film Ghostbusters. A story that will deal greatly with the frustration of not being able to keep up as you grow old. A story about revenge and deceit. And a story of pulling it all together to overcome the odds.

While I won't go into great detail on the site and won't print the entire book here on the site (my hopes is that you'll read the passages that I post and will be enthusiastic to want to see the rest), I do plan on posting the first chapter or so of the book here on the site.

When finished, the final manuscript will be presented to Del Rey (who has previously published Ghostbusters related literature) in Winter of 2001/2002. It will be imperative that Ghostheads (again, if you like what you've read so far) show your support to revive the Ghostbusters license at Del Rey. Not only will this allow Ghostbusters: New Beginnings to be published but will open the opportunity for other authors to add to the extended Ghostbusters universe.

The first five chapters of the book are completed and at the current rate that it's being written, I should have a first draft finished and ready for editing by the end of September. The first ten pages will be posted to Ghostbusters HQ August 20th.

Once the book is completed, it will be announced on Ghostbusters HQ along with addresses and contacts of where to send support for the book at Del Rey. Again, Del Rey is not in the business of making people happy, they're in the business to make money and if they see large amounts of support they will be more inclined to accept and publish the manuscript.

Keep checking back here for the latest news and information, it will also be posted on the Ghostbusters HQ main page.

Thanks for your support Ghostheads! - Troy Benjamin, author "Ghostbusters: New Beginnings" webmaster Ghostbusters HQ
