"Rush a new Ghostbusters film to get it out soon or do it right?"

Argh...
This site is a mess. Simply put, I've let it get sucked into the tenth level of hell. It's not as bad as it has been but man, just browsing through the site today I noticed that there are reminants of past site designs all over the place. One of the main features of this page, Bustin' Makes Me Feel Good still has a format from the 15th anniversary. Devoted GBHQheads out there ask "what gives?" (Pauses for you to interact with your computer, go ahead, it's fun). There's no excuse for it this time guys, I'm working on redesigning the site, deperately trying to learn Flash in my free-time and failing miserably. I'm working a lot on the site this summer, and that is where you guys come in: take a look at the site, if you find broken links, format errors (as cool as the original site designs are and all) and e-mail me the URL with a description of the problem at netsolo@aol.com. Call it GBHQ Tech Support, but we're gonna get this site back up and running- a little rust remover and a little love and we'll be back on our feet in no time. Besides, I'm getting tired of newbies asking me if I have a website. - Troy

IRC me up, just don't get it on the rug
Arrrr matey, as any respecting pirate would know you've gotta know IRC to get the goods. But now, you need to know IRC to download high quality episodes of Real Ghostbusters. Log onto IRC server Dal.net (irc.dal.net) and join channel #realghostbusters to download over thirty episodes with more coming. Be patient, remember that you need to use triggers and line commands (think DOS) and if all else fails, be kind and ask someone there's always people willing to help. - Troy

Polar Lights snap model hitting shelves starting next week
Some hobby stores are letting you pre-order the Ecto-1 snap model from Polar Lights, but the fact is that these puppies should be widely available at Hobby Lobby stores, Wal Marts, Targets, Toys R Us, K-Mart, and K-Bee stores all over the country. Start keeping your eyes peeled (they've also got a sweet looking DeLorean model street dating the same as the Ecto too!) - Troy

I am Jack's really expensive flight suit
ednorton (any relation to the dude that punched me in the ear?) is taking home Dan Aykroyd's costume flight suit from the original Ghostbusters film over on Sothebys for a mere $6,900. Thus making him the propper to have spent the most amount of money on one of the cheapest parts of a GB costume. Check it out. - Troy

Dan's back on ABC!
Just a reminder that Dan Aykroyd makes his triumphant sitcom cameo return on Jim Belushi's "Life According to Jim" tonight on ABC. From the commercials running it looks as if Aykroyd will play an old police officer friend, and it looks like the two REAL Blues Brothers (Aykroyd and Li'll Belushi) will have a jam session, so set those recorders! To those encoding wonders out there somebody help grab me some stills and media for the site! Check your local listings (or the most bodaciously slow TV Guide website) Tonight, ABC, go. - Troy

A word from our sponsors...
I have a TV Tuner for sale! To see the specs on it, please visit here. You'll be getting a bare bones package. The All in Wonder Pro 8MB PCI card, and a CD R disc with the programs needed to get the TV Tuner running. The Card is automatically recognized by Windows95-XP, so no drivers are needed. The card is discontinued by the company, but it still works great, and you can make money off of it because it is useable for TV Stills and AVI Creation. Asking $100's. I'm currently upgrading to the newest version, the AIW Radeon 7500, so there's no need for the older version. Email me if interested! - Neil

NetSolo v.2.0
Where has the Netmeister been? This seems to be the question on everyone's mind (except Natalie Portman who knows where I am at all times) and the answer is simple: I've been making films. Don't forget The Other Side of Heaven opens TODAY with the Netmeister's name in the credits. A great film, check the website for theaters and showtimes in your area. I've also been working on student shoots on location the past few weeks and finishing up the latest drafts of my flick in the works, "Angel XRC."

So what does this mean? Troy has no love for his beloved site anymore? Quite the opposite, actually. I miss the way that we had things taking off and if I had more time for the site I would love to continue the Topics of the Day and the like. The lack of news, however, is what is disturbing. Sorry Ghostheads, there just isn't a lot to report in the way of news so the multimedia of the site is left to stand alone.

But fear not, "much to come on this website there is." In fact, we're going to take you where no other website has dared to go: the Sony prop house and storage area. Did you know that the actual Vigo painting is smaller than it actually appears on screen? The magic of cinema and we'll show you.

My wedding to Natalie should be sometime soon here too... okay, so I'm setting the bar a bit high. But hang in there Ghostheads, things here are finally slowing down a bit (however the promise of a sweet internship looms on the horizon, more on that later). But the site is not being neglected. I'm still lurking in the shadows (and know what evil is in the hearts of men much like that Alec Baldwin movie, The Getaway).

Meanwhile, keep those boards chattering, I love the way that conversation and the community has built in the last few months. And now I'm frequently lurking over there too! More to come, Ghostheads... more to come. - Troy

Get down and bark like a dog for Bill
I don't know where NetSolo is (in line for Star Wars at the Chinese on Hollywood Blvd. Nooch. - Net) , he seems to have fallen off the face of the Earth. Oh well, just a reminder that Bill Murray has a brand new show on Comedy Central called "The Sweet Spot". It's a Combination Golf/Comedy show. I tuned in, and it wasn't really that bad. But I guess for the reset of it you really have to be a golf head to appreciate it. I've always wanted to try proffesional golf, compared to mini golf as to which I am a pro. I've gotten a few whole in ones at the Jersey Shore courses now and again. However, I don't know how much patience the pro's would have with me as I'm learning the game, heh. But, perhaps one of the more interesting things about it, is that they are throwing a contest for all you golf fans out there. Enter the contest for a chance to win a golf game with the Murray Brothers, Brian Doyle and Bill the ones we are most familiar with. Pretty cool huh? If any readers of this site manage to win, don't forget to mention us! - Neil

SNL on E!... the acronyms are limitless
This is a bit off Topic, but it is Ghostbuster related since it's about Dan Akroyd :). Calling all Saturday Night Live fans! E! Entertainment Television is having a special about the 'behind the scene' stories at Saturday Night Live, with new interviews with the original cast. Should be well worth a look. It airs next Sunday at 8. Set your VCR's! - Neil

Santa's got a brand new bag
Still no official press release on the Bill Murray dark-comedy "Bad Santa" but I did manage to track down a small tidbit over on ol' Garth's Dark Horizons website. "Bad Santa: Jam Movies reports that The Coen Brothers, Bill Murray, and "Ghost World" director Tery Zwigoff will team for this tale of "a con man who poses as Santa to rob shopping malls over Christmas, complete with an elf sidekick." What's great about this is that Zwigoff has a great eye (some say he has two) for dark comedy as Ghost World was one stellar gloomy, yet funny flick. Throw the Coen Brothers into the mix, I'm thinking cinematic genius. - Troy

If you want to destroy my website
I'm heading out to the Weezer/No Doubt/Offspring benefit concert for the Recording Artists Rights Coalition tonight and am expecting the concert to go WAY past the Netmeister's bedtime. Just to give you Ghostheads a quick heads up that there most likely will not be an update tomorrow. I apologize but... it's Weezer guys! - Troy
