Ghostbusters HQ is the official unofficial launch site for the Ghostbusters release on DVD. Make sure that you don't miss out on all the fun and preorder the disc now to ensure that you have it on June 29th or even before! Here's the latest:
| "Hello everybody, whoa!" |
Okay, here they are, the moment that everyone has been waiting for. Ghostbusters HQ is proud to bring you, the ghosthead, your first look at the Ghostbusters DVD and all it's wonder. Again, no direct linking, just link to http://fast.to/ghostbustershq (this will save bandwidth transfer).
Our first QuickTime clip is of the running commentary. In this clip, the three featured "MST3Kers" discuss Peter being slimed in the library. The file is approximately 5.2MB, and it is recommended that you use QuickTime 4.0 to speed up transfer. Windows users, I'm having tech difficulties with this movie, download the Menu I should have this problem eliminated by the end of the day. Mac Users click and hold on this link and save to disk. For some reason, this file can not be viewed in the browser on some machines, it is best to just save it to disk.
The second clip that GBHQ is proud to show you, is your first look at the actual animation of the main menu. Notice the 3D rendering and the actual interactivitiy of the menu. A first on the DVD front. Again, this file is around and I still recommend that you use QuickTime 4.0 to view. Windows users, right click here and save this link to disk, Mac users click and hold on this link and save to disk. Again, I'm unsure as to why it appears as a broken file on some machines, but YES, it does work :)
| GBHQ to provide America's first look at the GB DVD |
Ghostbusters HQ is
proud to present to my Ghosthead viewing audience first glimpses
at the features of the Ghostbusters DVD, thanks to Columbia Tri-Star
Global Marketing. Tomorrow, Ghostbusters HQ's size will increase
by many-a-megabyte in order to show you QuickTime videos of the
features including the interactive menus and the MST3K commentary,
a DVD groundbreaking first. Come back tomorrow for the latest
and greatest, in the meantime non-press associates can take a
peak at the REAL press release and press kit via Ghostbusters
HQ's pictures. I'm expecting as I begin posting more and more
multimedia to Ghostbusters HQ that my bandwidth will increase
and in respect to my webhost and friend Neil Vitale and to prevent
mass hysteria, I will ask that Ghostbusters webmasters DO NOT
link directly to the media, rather to GBHQ's main page at fast.to/ghostbustershq.
Thank you.

Digital Video
Disc, better known as DVD is one of the hottest new pieces of
electronic equipment on the market at this time. Able to hold
over 400 gigabytes of information, a DVD can hold multiple versions
of a movie with special extras like trailers, soundtracks, and
cutscenes; and carry a soundtrack in Dolby Digital (5.1 channels
of discrete audio... sweet!). The catch is, a DVD is the size
of a normal audio CD, but has one-hundred more lines of resolution
than a normal video tape. As many DVD followers know, Ghostbuster
was originally slated to be one of Columbia Tri-Star's first releases
on DVD, but something fell through and the disc has been listed
as "To Be Announced" for sometime. What's the scoop?
Nobody, not even reps at Colubia Tri-Star Home Video seem to know.
But hold on Ghostheads, you think that I would let you down like
that? No way! So, while you start saving the petty cash in order
to buy the $29.99 disc, here's a little information about what
will be included in the release:
The original film, painstakingly converted into a digital artifact-free
format in the original aspect ratio
