Just Some Incredibly Cool Picture
from in off the street:
Does this snowman look a little familiar? Whoa, it's
really weird eh? Sorta like that Blair Witch thing... er, nothing
like that- that sucked. (Stantz photo)

Sorry,
it took me a while to get this one online, tucked away in the
file cabnet for who knows how long, but the Ghostbusters Special
Edition DVD took home the "Best Use of DVD Features"
award in the Digital Bit's annual awards. Take a look here (offsite

Columbia Tri-Star
begins huge promotion
Well,
the press release is very unexciting but Sony Pictures/Columbia
is beginning it's 2000 Prizes a Day promotion... um... well two
weeks ago, but the Ghostbusters elements will come into play
this February. Basically if you buy a specially stickered DVD
or VHS tape you're elligable to win t-shirts, Burger King certificates,
Walkmen, DVD players, a cruise with Commodore Cruise Lines, a
tour of the Sony Pictures Lot (cool) and the grand daddy prize-
weeklong stays at any Radisson Hotel anywhere in the world. A
total of 730,000 prizes are to be awarded, including some cool
Ghostbusters wear, films, etc. So hey, let the games begin.
Don't
let recent reports get you down, indeed Inner Demons is in production
as of 11am PST yesterday. Production photos and more are on the
way!
Vote here, now- you
got no choice
Okay,
let's put it this way, if you don't go over and vote at this
website, we won't see a remake of the Ghostbusters C64 8-Bit
game created by master David Crane. Go there now, all 400+ of
you that regularly visit GBHQ, vote many times, vote now, we
can get this game made! Sure, it's futile considering that they
won't make a film tie-in game, but hey let's show 'em our influence
anyway! (Offsite link, Raff/Castewar credit)
The man, the myth,
the legend...
Okay,
all of you know that I'm the big guy pushing the coolest film
actor of all to be in the next Ghostbusters film. Who's tougher
than Bruce Campbell? He could kick some slime azz and that's
true. And who's tougher than NightScream for coming up with this
sweet new graphic on the GB3 area?
GB2120 model added
Jay
Young, the head designer and founder of the Ghostbusters 2120
project has sent in yet another model. Though not as photo-realistic,
it gives a good idea of the direction that the series is heading...
but Jay... how about a jumpsuit?
Well, it's not
even worth posting a picture of, but the January/February Issue
of Cinescape does have indeed a short 15 word blurb in it's MovieWire
section on Page 17.
"...Dan Aykroyd has confirmed that a first draft of a
Ghostbusters 3 script is finished..."
Well, it's better than nothing, but it's common knowledge.
Oh well, at least it's more print.
Former Kenner Exec
helms new company
A
new company by one of the designers behind the Real Ghostbusters
action figure line among many at Kenner has formed his own toy
production company, N2 Toys. See the AP wire article here on
the HQ
Here's Inner Demons
producer the Big B with the scoop:
Expect the Teaser Trailer towards the
end of the month. It's gonna be freakin' awesome!!!!!! Trust
me.
Get people ready. I already posted it
on Bill's board. - Brandon
Cinescape pics and
article comin'
GBHQ's
main man over at Ray's Occult, Tim the Terror Dog, first broke
news of an article appearing in Cinescape reguarding the current
status of GB3. I've been waiting to get my hands on that article
and now it looks as if it might actually happen- keep checkin'
back for more Ghostheads.
Want to die a happy
person now? Remember the collector's motto, he who dies with
the most toys still dies. Anyway, Adam of the Hook and Ladder No. 8 points out the Ghostbusters
postage stamp:
I have never heard of the Russian republic of Abkhazia, but
it has issued its very own Ghostbusters postage stamp.
Here's
the deal Ghostheads, it's not related to GB at all but Beau of
Ghostbusters 2120 fame helped with
the freakin' cool poster- check my site for the latest on the
film including a download of the film in the future!

GreenGoo! sorta kinda
updated
As
many of you know, it's not the HQ's policy to plug websites and
advertise on the site, but I've forgotten to add Tim's website
to GreenGoo! for almost a year now, and he deserves the nod.
So Tim, here's to you.
Sodi,
the Goddess of Cheese drops a line to let the HQ know that an
original prop from Mystery Science Theater 3000 which features
a repainted Kenner RGB proton pack is up for bids at eBay, check
it out! (offsite link)
Will where have you
been?!?
GBHQ minion Matt Rude tells the
HQ that the first words out of Will Farrel's mouth on the Daily
Show with Jon Stewart were Ghostbusters related:
"As Will was coming out, the crowd cheered as he sat
down. The first thing to come out of Will's mouth was, 'Did somebody
just yell GHOSTBUSTERS?' Like I said, I doubt this interests
you, just thought it was kinda cool."
Feeling
like tackling quantum physics today? Didn't think so, but hey
get a little intellectual with some more Real Busters article
action in the Occult Reference Net.
Unproduced figures
in RGB line
Check
out Proton Charging for some pics of unproduced (no, not the
Ecto Glow line) Real Ghostbusters action figures. (Offsite link)
Correction
The PRODUCER of "Ghostbusters:
Inner Demons" was incorrectly spelled on the 9th. The correct
spelling is Brandon Kleyla. Apoliges Brandon.
A
happy belated birthday wish goes out to the GBHQ's most faithful
viewer, the Dribblin' Drewmeister himself. Go buy some lottery
tickets on the HQ Drewbinator.
Real paranormal psychologists
speak
As
many of you know, I like to also keep Ghostbusters fans involved
with the real world of parapsychology, check out the Occult Reference
Net for the HQ's latest addition, the Real Spookbusters section
featuring scientific studies and articles on the Real Ghostbusters
that actually do work day in and day out to bust some head.
GBHQ's
main man Goat XGB reminded me that the total conversion for the
LucasArts game, Jedi Knight is now available at http://www.jedinights.com/BSE take a look

Special FX crew found
for Inner Demons
GBHQ
is pleased to announce that a Special Effects crew has been formed
for the upcoming project "Inner
Demons." The project coordinator for Inner Demons, Brandon
Kelya tells the HQ that they'll have the crew named by the 18th
of January. Check back for production stills and more!
Seems
there has been some confusion in the two pack packaging nightmare.
Yes, there is a two-pack already on the market which has appeared
in stores like Wal Mart, Cosco, and a few select Target stores.
However, there is a RE-PACKAGE for Columbia Tri-Star's February
promotion the Champagne Celebration which will include a new
package design (cardboard outside container) as well as an onslaught
of advertising and promotion.
Holy
crap it feels weird to put 2000 on everything. Anyhow, check
out all the new schtuff.
GB2120 models revealed
Jay
Young of the Ghostbusters 2120 project shares the newest model
for the realistic looking heads he plans on using for the demo
reel (which hopefully will be available soon). Check out the

Best Buy to have
DVD package Feb 1?
SailorLink
tells the HQ that the Best Buy computers list the GB/GBII DVD
package in their Best Buy computers as arriving February 1st,
a full ten days ahead of schedule... hmmmm...
